ITINERARY
Day 1: Hanoi – Ninh Binh
07:30 – 08:00: Our guide meets you at your hotel and begins the 110 km drive through the lush countryside. Enjoy a short break along the way.
Option 1:
10:30 – Arrive at Bai Dinh Complex, the largest pagoda in Vietnam and Southeast Asia. Set at the base of Dinh Mountain, this site offers stunning views of the river valley and limestone karsts. Highlights include:
- 500 stone statues of “La Han” (Arhats)
- Two massive bronze bells (27 tons and 36 tons)
- Quan Yin statue with thousands of arms and eyes
- Gautama Buddha statue
Option 2:
10:30 – Visit Hoa Lu Ancient Citadel, featuring the Dinh King Temple dating back to the 17th century. 12:00 – Enjoy lunch at our restaurant, sampling great local cuisine.
13:00 – Depart for the Trang An Grottoes, renowned for their natural beauty with dramatic limestone mountains rising from rice paddies. Explore the mystical valleys, fresh water ponds, and jungle as you embark on a traditional sampan. Pass through various caves, including Lam Cave, Vang Cave, Dai Cave, Thanh Truot Cave, and visit Cao Sơn Temple, Suoi Tien Temple, and Vu Lam Temple.
15:30 – Visit Mua Cave and trek up Ngoa Long Mountain for a breathtaking view of the rice valleys and surrounding nature.
17:00 – Check into your homestay or bungalow. Enjoy some relaxation time, read, or swim before dinner around
19:00. In the evening, unwind at the pool view bar. (Please note that the tour guide will not be available until the next afternoon.)
